Hot Hand Theory was built for NBA fans who think deeper.

We started HHT because we weren’t satisfied with how most NBA analysis works. Too often, the same narratives get recycled, assumptions go unchallenged, and curiosity about the game gets left behind.

We're not here to argue hot takes. We're here to rethink what we believe about basketball using data, film, intuition, and real dialogue.

It started when XJ, a behavioral scientist, and Geoff, a former professional poker player, connected over their frustration with surface-level NBA narratives. They realized that questioning those assumptions—together with a smart community of fans—could create something better.
